Scores one goal in defeat
Al Rashdan scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) in Monday's 2-1 defeat against Algeria.
Analysis: Al Rashdan was Jordan's best outfield performer in Monday's 1-2 defeat to Algeria, scoring a brilliant outside-of-the-boot finish from the right side of the area in the first half while also registering two shots (one on target) and three tackles (two won) across his 90 minutes in a box-to-box role that required both defensive discipline and attacking output. His ability to arrive late from central midfield, win the ball and produce moments of quality against top opposition make him one of the most complete midfielder in Jordan's squad.
Busy match in loss
Al Rashdan had four tackles (one won) and two clearances in Wednesday's 3-1 loss versus Austria.
Analysis: Al Rashdan faced plenty of activity in a match where both sides had chances and Austria spent much of the second half applying pressure. As a midfielder with more defensive responsibilities, it was a difficult evening as his contributions were not enough to prevent Jordan from conceding three goals. The Jordan defensive unit struggled as a whole, and while Al Rashdan completed the most dribbles for his side, he was unable to provide enough control or attacking impact to influence the result. He was not directly at fault for the goals, but his defensive impact was limited in a tough matchup. Jordan's next fixture is against Algeria, who are expected to be the stronger side despite their 3-0 loss to defending champion Argentina in their opener.
